What a brilliant idea and so well executed. The tops and posts screw on and off so the sisal can be replaced and the whole piece is sturdy and attractive. The pics don't really show it, but the wood grain really shows through the pretty stain and makes for about as attractive a scratching post as you're going to find. My 12 year old cat doesn't jump as well as he used to and it is handy to allow him to get up on things, too.
